The IT event, which with over 1,600 guests was the largest of its kind in Canada, was held at the Toronto Congress Centre from May 18 to 19. "We were chosen in order to provide a fresh, new look and feel for what had previously been a very traditional conference," said Michael Agard, Account Manager for bb Blanc. "The task was to create an environment and energy that would keep guests engaged during the run of the conference." This was accomplished by working alongside the Cisco team to create a number of custom visuals and animation effects that helped support the Keynote Session of the conference. Three 20K HD projectors and Pandora's Box Media Servers worked together to create a blended 16’ by 70’ widescreen for the Keynote room. This screen was flanked by a series of LED video tiles specially configured to match the iconic Cisco Bridge, which provided complementary visuals. A series of LED moving head fixtures, LED beam lights, LED wash lights and conventional lighting rounded out the lighting display. In addition to this bb Blanc supported all other staging components. "The 16’ x 32’ stage was covered which grey carpeting which provided a clean finish," notes Agard. "Other key elements included rigging, presentation support for the keynote speakers and a pair of delay video screens with projectors. Audio support included microphones, line array PA systems, and front fill speakers." The Cisco World of Solutions Trade Show section of the conference was also supported by bb Blanc, who provided MacBooks and iPads with pillar stands that were used for display stations. Along with this, a 10’ x 16.5’ 4mm LED Video Wall was used for the main visuals in the area along with cascading LED video strips on each side. A supporting line array PA system, staging LED lighting and equipment for the show's DJ rounded off the room’s audiovisuals. Cisco's conference organizers were extremely pleased by the results and work put on by bb Blanc.
